The Erasmus + program provides co-funding for the mobility of teaching staff of the University of Novo mesto, both for lectures given by teaching staff and for employees of foreign companies or other organizations (e.g. public or private, small, medium or large companies; research institutes; schools, institutes or educational centers at all levels ...) invited by members of the University of Novo mesto to carry out a pedagogical activity with them.
The objectives of such mobility are:
The host organization must agree with the program of tasks to be carried out by the host teacher, which is confirmed by signing the Erasmus+ Staff mobility for Teaching before the start of the mobility period.
In any case, the teaching activity must include at least 8 teaching hours per week (or for any shorter duration of stay). If the mobility period is longer than one week, the minimum number of teaching hours must be proportional to the duration of the mobility period in that week.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Staff wishing to carry out part of the Erasmus + pedagogical activities abroad must complete the application according to the instructions.
The applicant must carry out the mobility activity in a participating Program Country other than the country of the sending organization or the country of residence of the applicant.
The applicant for this call may be an employee of the University of Novo mesto (in an employment relationship that complies with the Law on Employment Relations: temporary/permanent employees, full-time or part-time). If the participant is simultaneously employed at another higher education institution or vocational school, he/she must provide a certificate from this institution or school that he/she has not received co-financing from another employer for the same mobility.
The International Office of the University of Novo mesto will accept applications from members until the application deadline. If insufficient applications are received by the specified deadline, the call will be kept open until the vacancies are filled or the available funds are exhausted.
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus+ financial grant. A prerequisite for the grant award is a timely and properly submitted (online) application, on the basis of which we will issue the Erasmus+ Financial Grant Agreement.
International staff mobility is becoming one of the most common forms of international collaboration in higher education. The importance of mobility and thus the transfer of knowledge, experience, ideas and networking is the main guiding principle of Europe, which strives for a knowledge society and a competitive advantage for European diplomats, staff and researchers, and for their comparability on a global scale.
The Erasmus + program in the field of higher education enables the co-financing of the mobility of professors and all professionals for the purpose of teaching, training and education in partner higher education institutions or in other relevant organizations or companies abroad.
The funds for co-financing are intended for the mobility of lecturers and non-teaching staff at the higher education institution.
The Erasmus + program offers the following opportunities to the staff of the University of Novo mesto:
The host organization must be a higher education institution from a program country that has the ECHE Charter or a higher education institution from a partner country recognized by the competent authorities that has signed an inter-institutional agreement with a partner country from the program country before the start of the mobility. In the case of training, it can also be a public or private organization from a Program Country or a Partner Country active in the labor market or in the fields of education, training, youth, research and innovation.

DURATION AND LIMITATIONS
It is possible to apply for the call for mobility proposals carried out within the eligible period for the implementation of the mobility (see supporting documents with details for each call).
The grant cannot be awarded for activities that have already been completed at the time of submission of the grant application and for which no Erasmus+ grant agreement has been concluded before the end of the mobility period.
The duration of the staff mobility must be a minimum of 2 working days and a maximum of 60 days, excluding travel time. A maximum of 2 days per trip will be added to the mobility days.
CONDITIONS FOR EXCHANGE
The Erasmus + program provides co-funding for staff mobility for their own training abroad, for on-the-job training visits, and for job shadowing at partner higher education institutions or other relevant organizations. As a result, staff mobility should also contribute to increasing the quality and quantity of student mobility at the University of Novo mesto under the Erasmus+ program.

The maximum amount of the grant is equal to the sum of the residence grant and the travel grant. In accordance with Slovenian legislation, the applicant is paid a grant equal to the actual costs according to the calculated travel allowance.

Travel costs are divided into individual classes. The distance between the sending and the partner institution is taken into account. An individual has the option of co-funding two (2) additional days for travel. Distance is calculated using a distance calculator posted on the European Commission website. The calculation will take into account the air distance in one direction.
In accordance with Slovenian legislation, travel expenses are reimbursed according to actual costs up to the amount defined by the program regulations (see table above).
No later than 30 calendar days after the signature of the Mobility Agreement and no later than the day of the beginning of the mobility period or after the receipt of the confirmation of arrival, the participant will receive an advance payment equal to 80% of the European Erasmus+ grant. Upon receipt of all documents after the completion of the mobility period, the final amount of the Erasmus+ grant will be determined according to this call and any remaining funds will be paid. Upon completion of the mobility abroad and within 30 days of receiving the call, the participant must also complete and submit an online final report. Participants who do not complete and submit an online completion report may be required to repay all or part of the financial support received.
Mobility without Erasmus+ grant - »Zero grant«
If co-financing of mobility is not possible due to limited funds, mobility of staff not receiving EU grant (Zero Grant) for Erasmus+ mobility period is also allowed, but can still benefit from Erasmus+ program.

The post-mobility documentation must be submitted to the International Office no later than 14 days after the end of the mobility activity.
Once the final documentation has been submitted, the final amount of the Erasmus+ grant will be calculated according to the funding restrictions of the relevant academic year. Erasmus+ grant is expected to be paid to the participant's transaction account within 30 days after the University of Novo mesto has received and approved all required documents.
The University of Novo mesto is obliged to disburse only the funds it receives from the National Agency (Cmepius).
Each participant must complete and submit an online European questionnaire within 30 days of receiving the invitation to participate in the mobility activity abroad.
When can I apply?
Employees can plan their mobility according to their schedule and availability. There are no specific application dates for employees.

Can I submit more than one mobility application?
You can. If the funds granted by the National Agency are available and there are no mobility requests from other employees, you can participate more than once in a mobility activity. However, preference will be given to those who apply for mobility for the first time.
Can I postpone mobility?
Employees who have been granted mobility may postpone the date of the mobility, provided that the host institution approves the postponement.
Do I need to submit a special request for co-funding?
Employees are not required to submit a request for co-funding. Employees who have been granted mobility are automatically eligible for a grant until the funds are exhausted.
When will I receive a financial grant?
The financial grant is paid in two installments. 80% of the grant will be paid before departure, after all required documentation has been submitted to the International Office, and the remaining 20% will be paid after the employee has submitted all required documentation for the mobility or after settlement of the actual costs incurred.
Who is responsible for finding accommodation and arranging insurance?
Employees are solely responsible for finding accommodations and arranging insurance. Each country and institution may have its own procedures. Therefore, check with the contact person at the host institution.
