Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short, intensive programmes that use innovative learning and teaching methods, including online collaboration. They can include challenge-based learning, where transnational and transdisciplinary teams work together to solve challenges.
Blended intensive programmes aim to reach out to all types of students from all backgrounds, in all fields of study and at all levels of study by providing new and more flexible forms of mobility, combining physical mobility with a virtual component.
Groups of tertiary education institutions will be able to organise short combined intensive learning, teaching and training programmes for students and staff. In these combined intensive programmes, groups of students or staff will undertake short-term physical mobility abroad as learners, combined with a compulsory virtual component, allowing for collaborative online learning exchanges and teamwork. The virtual component should connect learners online to work together and simultaneously on specific tasks that are included in the combined intensive programme and are taken into account in the final learning outcomes.
In addition, the blended intensive programmes can be open to students and staff from any tertiary education institution. Combined intensive programmes build capacity to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning practices in the participating tertiary education institutions.
The physical part must last for at least 5 consecutive days and may last for a maximum of 30 days. The virtual part is not time-limited.
Successful completion of the programme attended by the student will be evaluated with a minimum of 3 ECTS points.
BIP is open to students and staff of the University of Novo mesto who have been admitted to a BIP organised by a partner higher education institution from Erasmus+ programme countries.
Partner institutions are those with which an Erasmus+ Interinstitutional Agreement has been signed.
The list of partner institutions is available HERE, under the "Where to?" tab.
Programme (participating) countries are the Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia and Serbia.
